It started with 6 loops (stitches) and ended with 4 loops - and I think i drew it through the draw plate too small cuz it looks more like squished wire then the pretty pattern of weave it should.
My 2nd attempt:
turned out much better. I didn't draw it as small so you can see the pattern. I didn't make the silver coloured wire part long enough tho, so i left the starter brass wire on so I could make it into a bracelet. I finished it with quick wire wraps around the ends and jump rings through the end loops so it doesn't unravel.
My 3rd attempt on the dowel:
I was working with 24 gauge (the other 2 were 26 gauge) which i actually liked better. It turned out really pretty, but I didn't weave enough length so I drew it through the drawplate one too many times to make it long enough to do something with it. It ended up squishing the wire into a jumbled mess. I learned my lesson (again).
Currently working on a mixed colour bracelet in burgundy and silver. Hopefully I'll make it long enough.
